Pods chosen for how they look and behave
Grade A is the appearance grade. Higher moisture keeps the pod pliable, so it splits cleanly and scrapes without crumbling, which matters when the seeds end up somewhere people can see them.
Sorted by hand and sealed at origin in a heat-sealed pouch. Origin: Uganda.
How to use it
- Split, scrape, and steep in warm milk or cream.
- Custard, crème brûlée, ice cream base, pastry cream.
- Bury a spent pod in sugar for vanilla sugar.
- One pod flavors roughly a liter of dairy.
Storing it
Once opened, move to an airtight jar. Room temperature, out of the light. Not the refrigerator, which pulls moisture out of the pod.
